Visit to MC Rednecks - August 2002 before Moto Guzzi Club Belgium Rally
Having decided to make a return visit to the Moto Guzzi Club Belguim’s Rally in Lommell
with a stop-off on the way to visit new friends MC Rednecks in Neeroeteren, Ian and Kenny set sail from Rosyth on the well-appointed and comfortable superfast ferry.
On arrival at Zeebrugge they were met by John who had embarded on his one-man tour of Europe the week before, accompanied by derek from MC Rednecks, who had looked after the old yin when he had got a bit lost (like 500 miles in the wrong direction!).
They then set off for Neeroeteren where they were very well looked after by Ron and the rest of MC Rednecks and had a very pleasant evening getting pished and talking crap.
The next morning (late) they were guided by our hosts to the very door of the Moto Guzzi Rally. They then bid farewell to their friends.
Then began the serious job of partying for the weekend with friends old and new from Moto Guzzi Club Belguim. Scorching weather, good beer and excellent company made for a superb rally, and one to which we shall surely return. Pictures to follow soon...
Before our return from Belgium we treated ourselves to a night at the Motorcycle Loft Hotel in Oudenburg near Oostende - Highly recommended.
